Oscar Cuevas is a Brooklyn-based writer from Kansas. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in BOMB, DIAGRAM, Cream City Review, Tampa Review, and elsewhere.

He won the Joyce Carol Oates Nonfiction Award and the Raymond Carver Memorial Award for Short Fiction. He's been a finalist for the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction, University of Georgia Press, and Bellingham Review’s Tobias Wolff Award for Fiction.

He’s been awarded fellowships at MacDowell and Syracuse University, where he completed his MFA.
